Tuesday 1 pm

What a beautiful day! Temperature around 6C. Went for a walk around the area to get some exercise, and can feel that either the recent lack of walking exercise or taking full selo-zoks recently does affect my calf muscles, as they were more painful today.

Have just finished reading The Dimbleby lecture by Craig Venter - A DNA driven world. He's quite a personality.. bit of a megalomaniac apparently, but his lecture was excellent.

"...In order to survive, we need a scientifically literate  society willing and able to embrace change - because our ability to provide life's essentials of food, water, shelter and energy for an expanding human population will require major advances in science and technology. ..."
