DSLR-like app 'Camera FV-5' for Android users

Not sure where I first came across this app, but it is the best Camera app out there.. take a look at least here http://www.camerafv5.com/index.php

I have learnt more about my GS2 and GNex cameras from this app than I dreamt was possible. Read more about it here on the Play Store and watch the great tutorials on YouTube.

Attach a Flash Disk to Nexus.. ?

An article in The Telegraph I found back in November by a Rick Maybury Can I transfer photos onto a Nexus 7? caught my eye, always have been a sucker for gimmicky ideas, and this one hadn't til then entered my mind.

It turns out that if you have the right little (OTG) cable, see "otg cable nexus 7" and an app from the Play Store called Nexus Media Importer, you were all set!

Sounded interesting, so I tried ordering from Amazon, " Sorry, not to Norway", in the end I ordered from MyTrendyPhone, and it arrived a day or two ago.

There is just one thing you need to watch according to a tip I saw somewhere

Galaxy S2 'updated' to be like Jelly Bean

Although I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the GS2 is the device I take with me, unless I'm on a 'photo shoot'.

The chances of Samsung ever upgrading the GS2 to Jelly Bean being slight, when I heard of Nova Launcher I thought why not try it.

Usually launchers last about 5 minutes on my phone, but after some persistent menu work I found out how to set it up very much like the Galaxy Nexus.

Not bad eh! :)

Big scare..

Pressed the ON button on my Nexus 10, and NOTHING happened! What..?

I have been very careful to swipe off unused apps when I've finished using them, particularly as I'm monitoring battery conditions in the last day or two, see http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries.

So I plugged it in and hoped that nothing mysterious had killed the beast. Thankfully, after a few minutes, the screen blinked in a dim mauve colour, showed a battery icon, and went out again :) So, all is not last, but I must admit, this was scary.

Handy Safe again

Spent a while these last few days, sorting out Handy Safe on the Mountain Lion partition (Apple Store sees both partitions as one where apps are concerned, making it impossible to install a bought app on the Lion partition, most of them, when I run up the ML one.)

The Handy people came back with a solution for me today, a package to run and a registration key to use... thank you Paragon, Pen or whoever you are.

That gave me the chance to update Handy on all devices. Quite a collection of them, now that the Nexus 10 has arrived (yesterday).

One thing I learnt, having taken ages trying to copy Safe.dat back onto the desktops) was that ES File Explorer's NET option allows one to set up Dropbox, Drive, etc., so that one can carry out a range of functions on Nexus/Android devices and transfer copies f.eks. directly to the cloud!

So much for Handy for now.

A suggestion for fanboys of either persuasion..

I was looking at the list of devices above, and it reminded me how often I'm disappointed by the quality of participants on tech podcasts.

I won't name and shame here, but Apple guys seem to be worse than the more 'open tech' inspired Android enthusiasts. The worst of them are out and out apologists for every Apple fault, and even talk of "Apple Quality", (sorry, but be honest, how many of you have not had or heard of someone with an iPhone who has trouble with the hardware buttons?

Another thing I hear, which makes me groan, is when they infer that if you already have an 'investment' in iPhone apps it makes sense not to try a device from the competition.. a weak argument in my opinion, except for the unfortunate poor.

If you don't make an average investment on both sides of the equation how on earth can you hope to give intelligent advice?! Anyway, apps on both platforms are absurdly cheap.. it isn't going to cost more than a cup of coffee for an 'expensive' app, which you get to use on multiple devices.. get real!

And then there is the supposed question of the quality of Android apps..  I have approximately the same number of apps on both platforms, about 130 I think, and the only application I use on my iPad (iPhone) which I haven't yet found a match for on Android, is Momento, a daily journal. There are no doubt alternatives, but I'm looking for one that can be accessed via Dropbox from both platforms..

Moved over to Mountain Lion

I installed ML  when it came out first, but having a Lion partition on the same drive as ML caused some problems between iTunes and syncing the iPad and iPhone. i.e. I became frustrated when I had set icons on the above devices just as I wanted them using Lion, only to find them moving all over the place when I ran iTunes on ML.

While having problems with MyFiles, a new Cloud app, I had to dodge back and forth between the two OS versions, which gave me the necessary urge to sort things out. This has taken a couple of days, and no doubt there will be other apps which need to be updated, paired, or sorted out in some way or other.

What do I think of ML vs Lion? No big change..

One app I have been using a lot more than other mindmap apps is Simplemind, which works across the iMacs, iPhone 4, iPad 3, as well as my three active Android devices. Not the sexiest UI but most impressive interconnection via Dropbox.

Ordered Nexus 10 from Multicom

I've had Hardware.no's web site open on the Nexus 10 page, waiting for some supplier to quote a price for the device, and was searching for info about Nexus Media Importer when I suddenly noticed Multicom had an entry!

As I had ordered my US Nexus 7 from them, I felt safe in placing an order for a Nexus 10 even though the delivery date would probably be out in mid December.. Their price at NOK 3.5K was what I expected so I was quick off the mark, and after three attempts to enter my bank details and having Java troubles both with Chrome and Firefox, I got Safari to complete OK.

Today I have been trying to locate the User Guide, without success.

Howto: Copy Handy Safe Pro database to Nexus

Why do this?

Well, although the makers of Handy Safe Pro have managed to produce a reasonably good method of syncing the iMac desktop app with iPhones and iPads, their Android solution is atrocious, and should be avoided...

Here is a method which works. NB! You will need Dropbox installed on the iMac and Android device in question.

First, search for safe.dat on the iMac (/Library/Application Support/Handy Safe Desktop) Copy this file, together with the .tmp and .ind files you'll find in the same location, to a new Handysafe folder you make for the purpose in Dropbox.

Then, on the Android device where Handysafe has been installed, simply Export the above Dropbox files one by one using "Save to SD card" (the top option in my Nexus 7's Export window) into the com.epocware.handysafe folder, and agree to Replace the three files which are already there.

Then run Handysafe and you should be in business..

This worked fine on all three of my Android devices :)

Nexus 7 receives Jelly Bean 4.2

The OTA Update arrived shortly after  booting up this morning :) So buying the US version paid off alright.

Still waiting for my Samsung Galaxy Nexus to receive the update however...

Another Apple Con (as in Pro vs Con)

A WhatsApp message for help from my granddaughters led me to checking out Bluetooth transfer between my devices, and to the title of today's post, 'Another Apple Con'.

I had no difficulty replicating their problem! Transfer between either an Apple iPad or iPhone with a non-Apple device over Bluetooth does not work!

I tried both my iPad 3 and iPhone 4 (iOS6) with several Android devices, and they simply cannot pair! i.e. Apple does not allow them to pair...

My efforts did lead me to an app 'Photo Share Pro' which simplified transfer of a photo between my iDevices (very slowly), but my granddaughter's iPod Touch was out of order so this didn't help them transfer between a Nokia phone and iPad 2.

Why Apple. What did you gain by creating this limitation?

So, its another Con added to my list, each new one merely makes it more unlikely I'll ever buy another Apple product.

Patriot Gauntlet NAS caught my eye

Not sure whether I first heard of it via Reader, or whether it was on PC Perspective, though I believe it was the latter.

Its a small portable wi-fi storage container for a 2.5" hard drive or SSD. You can find a Presentation of the device by PC Perp's Ryan on their YouTube page.

Its all very well buying one of these, but I was interested in finding out how it could be accessed from an iPad 3 or a Nexus 7. Finding workable solutions for both platforms took a while.

I used Apple's Airport Disk to check things out, by connecting a spare 500GB WD drive to the USB port on my Airport Extreme Base station, and transferring some MP3 folders to it.

To cut a long story short, I was able to access these from the iPad using FileBrowser, which found the NAS drive with a quick scan of the Lan.

The Nexus 7 took a bit longer until I tried a free app called ES File Explorer A simple click on Lan, then Scan, enter User/pwd and away it went.

An educational experience, but with all the Airplay and Cloud solutions which are available, one must really need SSD speed in a real Gauntlet Node to justify purchase, unless you happen to be a 'technology nut' like someone I know!

Changed my mapping software

Several reasons made me leave Mindnode Pro and Touch.

First, there was no Android version, and no hint of one in the future..

Secondly,, I got fed up with the OSX version. The Inspector was constantly required to correct text size, node breadth, etc. grrr!

I found SimpleMind, which works great between OSX, iPad and Nexus 7, and most important, imports the Freemind map mm format, so I have easily exported the Mindnode maps I wish to transfer and synced them via Dropbox

MacBook Pro backup

Helped Susan to get SuperDuper going this afternoon, but she had 400GB on her 500GB drive and the first pass of the app always takes a long time. She probably didn't complete the clone before leaving for Bangkok and HK by Finnair today, but she'll be able to run it overnight when she gets there.

The new 1TB Western Digital drive is unbelievably tiny!

Almost bought a MacBook Pro

I have been concerned about the possibility of my daughter losing her MB Pro, and was thinking of getting a similar model as a kind of reserve, but it would have cost NOK 17.5K, which is a hell of a lot of money under the circumstances..

Instead I ordered a 1TB WD external drive, and we'll take a SuperDuper clone before she leaves for the East again this weekend.

Not sure if we would be able to run from this clone on my New iMac, which runs either Lion or Mountain Lion, but we'll check it out. If it works, at least she has the opportunity to work while waiting for a replacement.

Just dusted off the T91MT

It must be many months since I last powered on this, my remaining Windows device, probably stimulated by all the talk of Surface RT..

Spending the usual hour or so slowly installing updates, and removing a couple of unwanted apps, has been enough to put me off Windows for life...

Forwarding to Gmail

Decided to return my online.no mail to forwarding it to Gmail as a way of ridding myself of a growing bunch of Spam reaching the Apple Mail acct.

It didn't work reliably for a couple of hours and I'm not sure whether that was due to the time passed, or my changing the Inbox style to Classic, but after the latter things worked perfectly as desired.

Reading! I tend to do things in phases which can last for months, and thats what I've been doing this summer, which wasn't one of Norway's best.. I came across Christopher Brookmyre, Dana Stabenow, and Alan Bradley's series of over thirty eBooks. A great summer!

On the technical front, I was happy to get my iPhone back with a stable Home Button for a LOT less cost than Apple would take..

Apple Rant: Too eager once again, I updated both my iPhone 4 and the iPad 3 to iOS 6, and in the process installed the new Podcast app on the phone. This has resulted in my being unable to stream podcasts from my iMac's Shared iTunes Library even after deleting the Podcasts app! What were they thinking? Apple Maps don't affect me, otherwise I would have been a lot angrier..

Have been looking at the latest gadgets, but neither the Surface RT, nor the Galaxy Note 2 appeal. I also think five active devices is enough for the time being ;)

On the internet front, I was overjoyed to receive an email from Telenor advising of a SIM upgrade, which would allow me to obtain 4G on my ZTE 'miniruter', and 10 times the current speeds. YES!

IPhone 4 sent for repair

but not to Apple. No way will I pay them $300 for an hour's work to shift a $5 dollar item.. instead, I am paying $100 (NOK 600) to the local service firm AppleSpesialisten.no

Of course I heard from the above as soon as they received the device, saying the Home button was Ok. Not the best sign, as I had included a note pointing out the intermittent nature of the fault!

I told them to swap it anyway, and hope to get it back tomorrow or Saturday.

Of course the problem might have been due to a loose connection, which just could have been shaken up in the post. I just hope it works perfectly when I get it back..

Nexus 7 from Multicom

I felt a bit fed up my Samsung Galaxy Nexus was not getting a swift update to Jelly Bean, and had heard only good reports of the ASUS Nexus 7, so on Saturday 25th August at 11 AM I ordered a US model from Multicom..

On Tuesday at 1:30 PM it was delivered to the door by my friendly postman :) That I call service!

I plugged it in to charge, started adding key apps, and was a little surprised to be advised that an update to 4.1.1 was ready, even if the battery level wasn't. I continued adding apps, including Evernote. That was a mistake as I have almost 5000 notes containing a number of images. It took a long time, and I don't think it did the battery much good..

When the battery level allowed, I upgraded to 4.1.1 OK, and continued adding apps. However, although I was happy with the look and feel of the Nexus 7, I was worried how slow the charging was going. Checking battery state with Spare Parts Pro I found it said the device was discharging.. WHAT!?

I tried a few things to narrow things down: swapped the Nexus USB cable with my GS2's. No change on the Nexus, but the GS2 certainly charged OK via the Nexus cable.. then I used the iPad's charger, but still the device said 'discharging', even when it was slowly moving towards 75%.

Ended up plugging it in beside my bed, and it reached 100% by the morning. Will add comments as and when I learn more. By the way, there are a number of other posts about slow Nexus 7 charging on the web.

NFC problem on Galaxy Nexus

Spent a number of hours and tried lots of apps in my search for reason why it didn't react at all. Then I remembered some connection with batteries, and realized I might have a defect (or fake) spare battery.. YES! that was it.

Swapped back what must have been the original battery and everything works OK.

Have more 1KB NFC stickers on the way which will give me more scope for experiment. The Sony Xperia Smart Tags are only 48byte capacity..

Galaxy Nexus addition

Been meaning to write a note or two about my new Nexus phone, bought via Telenor just before they ran out of stock.

At the same time I changed my Mobilbredbånd 199 plan by buying an LTE/4G ready Miniruter. This gives me 2 Mb/s down and 1 Mb/s up, which is OK. The phone plan is pay as you go, to which I have added NOK 200. That should last for yonks!

During the install process there were two updates, which left me with ICS 4.0.4, a prerequisite for Jelly Bean apparently. Of course I hope to get the update to JB in the very near future, but according to a Danish contact on XDA Forums, the Scandinavian build I have is not treated well by Google :( I left queries about this on G+ and Twitter but received no replies.. No big rush, but I am looking forward to seeing JB.

Reviews about the Nexus 7 are really positive, and the price here in Norway is around NOK 2300, i.e. a no brainer... as soon as the local version is offered I'll order one.

The iPad 3 is OK, I use it mainly for reading books on the Kindle app, but I have gone off Apple. I refuse to buy overpriced products which are virtually unrepairable, and I hate Apple's patent war against anything Android.

No real Blogger app for iPad

I'm writing this with the iPhone app, but there appears to be no option to double its size like other iPhone apps.

Yesterday I had quite a session copying the Handy Safe Pro database from my iMac to the new Google Nexus.. should have been easy - 3 files only - but first I had to learn the trick of loading the Dropbox files 'offline' on the Nexus. One can do this by making them favourites! This makes the files available in a cache file, then it was a matter of moving the files to the Epocware folder, replacing the current ones. I was almost surprised that it worked after all that! It was such a finicky job moving files around with the file manager I was using.

Not too happy with Blogger! It just crapped out after I appended a new paragraph saying how happy I am with the ZTE performance vs tethering.

More learning..

One more thing I learnt this morning was how to login to the ZTE LTE/4G Mobilruter via a browser, change the admin name from 'admin', then change the miniruter password from the long weird one found under the device, to one that is easier for ordinary users to enter..

Must say I'm pretty happy wth the device's performance out here in the sticks ;) 2Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up, which is better than the speeds I get while tethering either the iPhone or Android devices. Its small enough to drop in a pocket so I have mobile data wherever I go.. only kr.199,- month, no limits.

Result of frustration with iPhone 4

On Monday I called Eplehuset to hear what could be done about the defect iPhone 4 Home Button. Getting it fixed would cost me another kr. 1800,-, this after 18 months of light use! You may imagine my frustration on hearing about "Apple being known for its quality" on Macbreak Weekly today. Grrr!

So, yesterday, after considerable thought about how I would  take care of the few apps which only exist on iOS, e.g. Mindnode Touch, Momento, and a couple of others, I ordered a Galaxy Nexus Titan Sølv 16 GB from Telenor with a Kontant Abonnement (max cash, but lowest total price)


At the same time I ordered the LTE/4G Miniruter for kr. 99,- to go with my Mobilbredbånd199 data contract. This will let me use 'free' data wherever I take it  :)


So, I expect to receive both of these items in a couple of days time. They are already on the way by Special post.


Looking forward to experiencing Jelly Bean 4.1...

Why I did not choose a Samsung Tab 2

A couple of days ago I very nearly pressed the button to buy the above, but there were a few key things which stopped me:

Android's Bluetooth doesn't support Foreign character keyboards.

The screen resolution was not going to make reading ebooks easier for me.

I would have been unable to view iTunes video podcasts.

Two apps were a 'must' for me:
Momento, and Mindnode Touch, neither of which are available for Android. Otherwise, the majority of my most-used apps run on both platforms.

So, regretably I chose to increase Apple's disgusting margins once again.

I have a horrible feeling..

Yes, I do believe I am going to buy the new iPad later today. I have been checking out the apps I most use, and they don't take a lot of space, so I think the 16GB wifi model will satisfy my needs :)

More about Windows..

I was asked to help solve a wifi connection issue yesterday, and was very impressed with the Dell Latitude running Windows 7 Pro!

So, if Apple's next Macbook Pro 15" doesn't have ethernet or USB 3 ports I will seriously consider getting one of the above. For once it was nice to hear Andy on Macbreak Weekly ranting about the above possibility.

The trouble with Windows

My T91mt doesn't get used every day and every time I switch it on it takes an hour or so being updated!
Like today. All I wanted to do was install a very fast search app called Everything. That finished ages ago and still its only on 5 of 14 updates :(

Easy Upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04

Really impressed by how smoothly this upgrade from 11.10 went.  I was expecting the worst, this being a Virtualbox installation, but it couldn't have been easier.  Things have changed a lot since my Gentoo days.

The only problem I had shows how far I have been left behind concerning Linux. Installing VLC was simple enough, but I couldn't for the life of me find where the app was started!

Eventually I found the Dash Home button, and discovered that Linux has become unbelievably simple to use.

Not sure what the Gentoo guys think about that..?

Even installation of Guest Additions was simple, and after a while I was able to play a CD.

Nothing more to do, other than sort out bookmarks in Chromium. Xmarks isn't behaving as I would like.

Sorting out local and cloud email links

Quite a while back I decided to forward all mail from my main 'gfraser@online.no' account to Gmail, where it was checked for spam and returned to the online.no account.

Yesterday I split the online.no and Gmail accounts on both mobiles.. one client for each service.

Today I went a step further, cutting the link From online.no to Gmail, but retaining the link from Gmail To online.no.. not sure what affect that will have on spam levels, which were terrible a few years back. We'll have to see ;)

What it means is that my Norwegian account is once again 'private'.

Had a hell of a job stopping the Samsung email client's notification squawk every time mail arrived. Eventually I found it was a matter of right clicking the account name and there lay yet another group of settings.. so peace has been returned :)

Decisions, decisions.. and Google Drive

Came across an article linked on Google+ about Cloud storage, and how perhaps one should be rather more concerned that the T's & C's one accepts for most of these services refer to US jurisdiction, should one have something stored there which the US finds objectionable. Now the author of the article definitely did not like that thought, and I must admit to that being my worst nightmare, not that i have any actual reason to worry.

It made me think. Then I thought some more, slept on it, and wonder how on earth I got sucked into these services in the first place..?

Dropbox was the one which gave me a clear benefit when running Apple, Windows, Linux, and Mobile devices. It still does, but I don't use Windows very often, Ubuntu runs on my iMac, and I have lots of space on my two iMacs, besides half a dozen WD drives rotating regularly.

So, I'm going to change a few things round here, starting with separation of my Gmail and Online.no accounts., running Online.no on the GS2 and iPhone clients, and Gmail on its own clients.

What I do with Box, Google Drive, Evernote and Dropbox I'll leave for a bit more thought..

Completion of the iMac RAM upgrades

The 2x4GB Crucial RAM kit arrived the day after Easter, and was immediately installed (by the way, though the 21.5" iMac is a touch heavy to swing around, it has very sharp edges in places..)

I was expecting to feel the same kind of boost as the 512MB upgrade gave to Hege's machine, but it wasn't until I ran Virtualbox that the additional 8GB was really taken into use. Both Ubuntu 11.10 and Windows 8 Preview ran faster, but I found the latter to be so uninspiring, it was removed. Guess I've never been a Windows fan..

A few days later the 1x2GB RAM replacement card for my old 20" iMac arrived from Apple  - a quarter the capacity of the Crucial kit for twice the price! One day people will catch on. The 4GB RAM total only made use of 3GB as expected, but it was good to get the useable 512MB back, even though the price galls me every time I think about it.

In fact, I've removed the iPad 3 from my list! Who needs a tablet..?

Upgrading Hege's 17" iMac

The idea was to install Lion on her Leopard system, but during the initial backup and preinstall checkout I found her system had only 1 GB RAM! Would Lion run on that? Then there was her old 2004 copy of MS Office which was 'a must' - Lion wouldn't like that. Initial backup of her 34 GB used space took an hour or so, installation of Snow Leopard from DVD took getting on for an hour more..

During this time Hege went for a walk in the local woods, and took a wrong turn, so by the time she returned it was getting late, and we were both tired. This turned out to be a good thing, as it allowed my grey matter to work in the background. First thing next morning I swapped 1 GB RAM from my Old 20" iMac (same vintage as Hege's) with one of her 512 MB cards, and was blown out of the water by the difference this made! (BTW, Lion ran OK on my Old iMac with 1 GB RAM)

Then I bought a SuperDuper license, installed ClamXav, OpenOffice, & VLC, cleaned up her Desktop, updated Snow Leopard & iTunes, ran a Smart Copy of SuperDuper, and tested a few things before Hege came to see the great results :)

We decided to leave Lion for now..

Until now I was pretty happy with the speed of my 21.5" iMac, but running Ubuntu 12.10 Beta and Windows 8 Preview in VirtualBox proved to be frustratingly slow. On checking my RAM I found only 4 GB and two empty slots, so after checking which RAM I needed, I found 2x2 GB kits in the Apple Store for kr. 1640,- ($280). Hmmm! To cut a long story short I ended up buying 2x4 GB Crucial RAM for under $70... that should speed up VirtualBox ;)

2 weeks later

And I'm still hovering on the fence ref. ordering my first iPad 3. gen. - came extremely close today!

I'm a little concerned the 16 GB version would be too small, having heard iPad apps may be 3 times the size for the 'resolutionary' screen. My iPhone 4 apps take just over 5 GB after pruning those I seldom use, so I need a clear answer to this matter, before making my decision. The 32 GB Wifi model costs close to $1000 incl. VAT here in Norway..

Wondering about the name

'My AIR Journal' began after the arrival of my first gen. Macbook AIR, the idea being to complement my paper journals, but things changed again after I bought an iPhone 4 to join my Nexus One, (since replaced by a Galaxy S2).

I found a great 'journal' app called Momento for iOS, and more importantly, discovered that a spare Apple wifi keyboard (with Norwegian characters) could be used to input data to the phone. This helped me maintain a daily personal record, which gets backed up to the iMac.

Paper mindmaps are to a great extent taken care of by the Mindnode Touch app, which is much simpler to use than the iMindmap solution. Mindmaps made on the iPhone can be copied to Dropbox and edited on my iMacs. Perfect..

Finally, I have passed my AIR on to an eager granddaughter, and don't expect to have it returned any time soon :) Perhaps I'll just hang onto the name for now.

New ipad or not ?

A week ago I had pretty much decided to buy one of the new iPads, but I am back on the fence again. Reports of overheating, home button trouble, et al, make me pause ..

MWC Eyecatchers

Two things caught my eye. One I plan to buy as soon as it becomes available here in Norway.. the Nokia 808 PureView running the latest Nokia Belle OS. The technology interests me, and first shots taken with early versions of the product are phenomenal.. it will be interesting to see if any other camera/phones turn up with a similar optics system in the not too distant.

The other item which strikes a chord with my current thinking is the ASUS Padfone, though what I really am waiting for are some smooth ways to connect my Galaxy S2 to simple HDMI devices with sound. I don't need a tablet, I just need a screen to have in my lap..

Will we see more in 2012? I hope so!

Last time was on 9th January, so what has changed ?

One thing! I installed a Caffeine app today. It has been run only twice, but I will keep an eye on it now and remove it if further reboots occur in the coming days.

All quiet on the Nærsnes front..

This was the CES month with lots of reports of Android tablets, phones, TVs, and Ultrabooks.

The Asus Transformer Prime caught my eye, but I'm still concerned about readability, having had poor experience with the Asus T91MT Windows readability. Galaxy Tabs with their phenomenal screen quality are also still on my list, as is the Apple iPad 3 shortly to be announced I believe.

No mad rush from my point of view. All I really want now is the ICS update for my GS2!

First reactions to Macbook Pro 15"

This one has definitely been on my list.. I find my 13" Macbook AIR to be too small, so I had a brief go on a brand new 15" Pro yesterday, and must say I was disappointed by the trackpad. It could be the way it was set up compared to my AIR, but I just didn't like it!

So, its put on the back burner for now..

It happened again!

It looked as though reformatting fixed my 32 GB Sandisk reboot problem, but after 10 days or so, the reboot while idle returned on 2nd Jan-2012 at 9 AM :(

The only thing that just might tie in with this, is that my grandchildren were giving games, which reside on the SDcard a good run for their money yesterday evening.

I'll leave the card in and see how it develops. Perhaps the promised upgrade to ICS for Galaxy S2 will fix something... always the optimist!
